I'm Lois, founder of Dot & Lizzi – a Baby boutique born from my lifelong love of craftsmanship, family tradition, and the beauty of childhood. 

Established in 2009 as Handmade Baby Classics and reimagined in 2022 under the name Dot & Lizzi, my brand brings together two deeply personal passions: luxury hand-knitted baby clothing and fine baby and child portraiture.

The name Dot & Lizzi is a tribute to my Nana Dot and my mother Lizzi who are two extraordinary women who taught me to knit from an early age. I began knitting at eight years old, and by ten, I was creating baby clothes for my cousins. What started as a treasured family tradition has since grown into a carefully curated collection of heirloom-quality babywear, designed with timeless style and exceptional comfort in mind.

Each piece in the Dot & Lizzi collection is handcrafted using premium natural yarns, chosen for their softness and beauty. I design each garment with my signature seamless ‘comfort fit’, allowing babies the freedom to move, play, and simply be. Every detail - from the delicate stitches to the natural shell buttons - is considered, ensuring each item is as practical as it is beautiful.

Alongside my knitwear, I also offer bespoke baby and child portraits - capturing the fleeting magic of early childhood in artful, timeless images. My portrait work is grounded in the same values as my knitwear: elegance, emotion, and authenticity. Whether working with pencil, watercolour, or oils, I aim to preserve the essence of your little one in a way that can be treasured forever.
